The Weekly Features 6-8-2014

Until this group is functioning the way we need it to, we've decided to do Random Deviant Features, these features may be from members and they may be from random deviants in the community. Take the time to read and if you like, It's time to promote deviant awareness!

The deviants are in no particular order

is torn and see through
too frail to last
oh, what were you expecting
it's just a gutter press collage
the sun I painted on the ceiling
is  maybe the only thing
I'll miss
I'm praying to never come back
from this journey as I hit the keys
but when the music fades away
the walls I built will start to crush
and as the pain of truth invades
I realise that happiness can never last
and yet another tune I play
and still the future's a replayed past
the fight's uneven my life's at stake
I'm struggling to make a new world out of dust
I lean against the body
that gives me bread
and hope and strength
I rely on nobody
I write my story without a pen
No one will ever read it
but still I want it
to be heard
I hope it won't get lost through
the deafening noise of the modern World
but when the music fades away

The emotions here are really a lot more vivid than it seems, and the imagery used impacts the emotions almost perfectly.

I found this intriguing, and I found that I enjoyed that the rhyming all but ended after the first verse, the flow of the piece made up for it.

This was just plain sweet.

Scarlet RoseAs her breath sighs
under starry skies one chilly morning
another little baby dragon’s born
as she let go
and her baby cries
for if there’s one thing that make hearts bleed
is that another great dragon’s soul is freed
from the pain, oh.
She will never understand
how in this great, vast land,
she’ll surely come to ask the question one day,
She will look at you and me,
and see a family.
She will simply turn her head
and spread her wings and fly away..
As the wind turns
And a growing young dragon named Scarlet Rose
flies down from the North to the Western Close
as the storm grows

This was really interesting to read. It's got fantasy, family, and spirituality all wrapped up and presented as one piece, and I feel it's better for it.

Positions open
ADMIN (1) - Person(s) to answer questions, replied to messages, handle any staff issues and make sure everyone is doing their job. This person will work in tandem with me (ladyshadowrage) and TheseKrimzonFlames with the goal of bettering this group.
Journalist (3) - Person(s) who's sole responsibility will be to get the journal published daily.
Talent Scout (2) - Person(s) who's responsible for bringing in new lyrical talent.
Presentation Director (2) - Person(s) who will be responsible for setting up and maintaining a weekly feature.
Critics (3) - Will be responsible for critiquing any feature artists work as well as adding constructive criticism to any contest finalists.


All positions have an age limit, due to the mature content rating on some submissions; to hold a position in LyricsRus you must be at least sixteen years of age AND be found by the staff to be responsible and mature. Preferred age is seventeen and up.
